Sometimes Pressing Pause Is Healing

One of the greatest lessons I've learned on this healing journey is that healing isn't always about moving constantly. Sometimes it's about knowing when to stop.

I recently had to pause my 365 Days of Healing series because of a critical family emergency. Out of respect for my loved ones and their privacy, I won't be sharing the details. I simply ask for your prayers and understanding during this time.

At first, I wanted to push through. I wanted to keep creating, encouraging, and showing up every day. But I realized something important: I cannot pour into others when my own mind, heart, and body need rest. For many of us, especially those who have lived in survival mode, we believe stopping means failing. We feel guilty for resting. We think we have to keep going no matter what.

But that's not what healing is about.

Healing teaches us to listen to our bodies, honor our emotions, and trust God enough to step away when life demands our attention elsewhere. This pause isn't the end of the journey. It's simply part of it.

If you're walking through something unexpected right now, I want to encourage you with this:

Give yourself permission to rest.

Give yourself permission to grieve.

Give yourself permission to be present with the people who matter most.

Your purpose isn't going anywhere.

Your calling will still be waiting.

And when the time is right, you'll return with renewed strength.

Thank you for your continued prayers, encouragement, and grace. I look forward to continuing this journey together soon.

"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." — Matthew 11:28

Until then, choose grace over guilt, faith over fear, and rest without apology.
