Protect the Promise: Reasons Why Everything Doesn't Need to Be Announced

Image
There was a time when I believed sharing my excitement would multiply my joy. Whenever something good was on the horizon—a new opportunity, a fresh idea, a prayer I believed God was answering—I wanted to tell someone. Over time, I learned a valuable lesson. Not everyone celebrates your good news with a sincere heart. Some people are genuinely happy for you, while others may unintentionally introduce doubt, fear, criticism, or unnecessary opinions. Sometimes they don't mean any harm. Other times, their response reveals that they simply cannot see what God has shown you. I've learned that some things are meant to be protected before they are presented. There is wisdom in allowing a dream to mature before exposing it to the world. A seed isn't planted so it can be dug up every day to prove it's growing. It remains hidden beneath the soil until its roots are strong enough to break through the surface. In much the same way, God often develops His promises in private before r...

Let Us Practice Grace for One Another

Image
We all fall short sometimes. No one is without flaw, failure, or moments they wish they could do over. As human beings, we are constantly learning, growing, and navigating life's challenges. Along the way, we make mistakes. We say the wrong things, miss opportunities to show kindness, and sometimes fall short of the standards we set for ourselves. Yet, in those moments of imperfection, God gently reminds us of the importance of compassion—not only for others but also for ourselves. Living in a world that often encourages criticism and judgment can make it difficult to extend grace. We may find it easier to focus on someone's shortcomings than to consider their struggles. We may hold ourselves hostage to past mistakes, replaying failures instead of embracing God's mercy. But grace invites us into a different way of living. Grace recognizes that every person is fighting battles we may never see. It acknowledges that healing is a journey and that growth often comes through tri...

God Is Working Behind The Scenes

When You Can't See What God Is Doing 2 Corinthians 5:7 For we live by faith, not by sight. Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who [ a ] have been called according to his purpose. When Life Feels Uncertain Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart      and lean not on your own understanding; 6  in all your ways submit to him,      and he will make your paths straight. Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you;      do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you;      I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. When You Need Hope Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord , “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, s...

A Letter of Gratitude

Image
To the person or people who became part of a chapter of my life that I will never forget, There are some things I have wanted to say for a long time. I do not know where you are right now, whether our paths will ever cross again, or if you will ever read these words. Still, I felt it was important to express what has been on my heart. Thank you. Thank you for an experience that challenged me, confused me, stretched me, and ultimately changed me. When our conversations began, I was in a very different place in my life. I was struggling in ways that many people could not see. I was carrying emotional burdens, battling chronic depression, and moving through life without fully recognizing the purpose God had placed within me. At the time, I did not understand what was happening. There were conversations, moments, and experiences that left me with more questions than answers. Even today, there are things I cannot fully explain. Yet as the years have passed, I have come to realize that...

Strength for Uncertain Days

Image
Finding God's Peace, Power, and Presence When Life Changes Without Warning   I'm so thankful for what the Lord has done. God is good. His power is real, and the devil is a liar. Looking back over this season, I realize something changed in me. God didn't remove every difficulty/hardship, but He gave me more strength than I knew I had. When my family received the devastating news that my niece had been shot, everything changed in an instant. Fear tried to overwhelm us, but faith reminded us that God was still alive and on the throne. As I entered the trauma unit, I pleaded the blood of Jesus over her life and declared His promises. Today, I can say with gratitude that God has carried us every step of the way. I believe her life is a miracle, and I know the journey of healing continues. One lesson has become even more real to me: having a relationship with God doesn't mean we will never face hardship. Jesus Himself said we would have trouble in this world. The difference ...

For Every Believer

Image
Believe God again. Pray again. Hope again. Trust again. The same God who gave you peace before can give it to you again. The same God who opened doors before can make a way again. The same God who carried you through the last season is still walking with you in this one. Don’t let fear silence your faith. Don’t let delay make you doubt His promise. Don’t let what you see cause you to forget what He said. You are His workmanship. You are covered. You are chosen. You are not forgotten. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer. Walk with Him. Look to Him. Expect help from Him. Believe. Achieve. Succeed. For every believer who needs a reminder today: God has not failed you, and He will not start now. Keep praying. Keep believing. Keep walking by faith. God is not a forgetful Father. He is a faithful Father. He has not forgotten you. He will never fail you. No matter when He steps in, His timing is still perfect. He is worthy of your trust. It is not over y...

Newness Is In The Air…

Image
New hopes. New dreams. New ideas. New thoughts. Let us not dwell on the people, places, and things no longer in our lives. If we think of them, let it be with appreciation for the time shared and the lessons learned. Some people were not meant to stay forever. Some things had to end so new things could begin. And remember: because you have chosen light, darkness has to flee. Light and darkness cannot lead at the same time. The moment light enters, darkness begins to move back. Keep choosing peace. Keep choosing healing. Keep choosing growth. Release what is no longer useful. Make room for the new that is waiting to be. If you do not let go, nothing will change—and you may never reach the place you have been walking toward. Some things cannot come with you into your next season. Some habits, fears, relationships, and old versions of yourself must be released so growth can happen. Do it for you. Do it for your peace. Do it for your healing. Do it because you matter. Do you believe you ma...

Your Needs Matter

Image
When you feel all alone and overwhelmed use this exercise to breathe in His presence. God is able to supply all of our needs. He is Jehovah Rapha — our Healer. He is Jehovah Jireh — our Provider. He is the Prince of Peace and Deliverer, the One who never fails. The Almighty God is all-powerful and unfailing. He sees you, knows you, and wants you to seek Him first. This is a reminder that your needs matter to God —whether peace in your mind, healing in your body, deliverance in your spirit, or increase in your life. We live in both a spiritual world and a physical world. With our natural eyes, we cannot see everything that is happening around us and to us on a spiritual level. We only see the physical, tangible things — but that is not all there is. Through prayer, meditation, and praise, we are drawn into the safety of God’s presence. In our thoughts, He prevails. In our hearts, He dwells. And with our mouths glorifying Him, He shifts our physical bodies and circumstance...

All That God Has for Me

Image
I want everything God has for me. Nothing more, nothing less, nothing outside His will. I want to go where He leads, learn what He teaches, release what He removes, and receive what He gives. I don’t want blessings that come with confusion, I don’t want doors He did not open, I don’t want relationships He did not send, I don’t want success that costs my peace. I want the life God designed for me before fear, before pain, before doubt. I want His promises in my spirit, His healing in my body, His wisdom in my decisions, His provision in my finances, His order in my family, and His love in my relationships. I surrender my timing, my understanding, my plans, and my expectations. Lord, let Your will be done in my life completely. If I have to grow, grow me. If I have to wait, steady me. If I have to let go, strengthen me. If I have to move, guide me. I want everything You have for me… and I want to become everything You created me to be.   The Holisti...

Season Of Preparation

Image
There are seasons in life when growth requires something very difficult from us — letting go . If we do not release certain people, places, habits, or things, there will be no room for the new. Growth cannot fully happen in a space that is overcrowded with what no longer belongs there. Sometimes we pray for blessings, opportunities, and transformation, yet unknowingly hold on to the very things that block them from entering our lives. There is a truth many of us must face: we cannot receive new wine in old wineskins . Life requires movement, healing, and sometimes separation from what once felt comfortable. This may very well be a season where something new is trying to spring up in your life. New clarity. New peace. New opportunities. New direction. But the question we must ask ourselves honestly is: Are we ready for it? Have we done the inner work required to receive what we have been asking for? Have we cleared the emotional, spiritual, and mental space needed for growth? Let...

Holding It In Makes You Sick: The Hidden Cost

Image
Many of us grow up learning to “be strong,” “push through,” or “keep it together.” But what we rarely talk about is the weight that comes with carrying emotions we never release. Anger. Bitterness. Jealousy. Resentment. Unforgiveness. Hidden hurt. Silent disappointment. These emotions don’t stay neatly tucked away in the heart. The body feels them. The mind reacts to them. And the soul holds them like unspoken stories. The Body Keeps the Score When we bottle up hard emotions, the body shifts into a subtle form of stress response. Even if we smile on the outside, our inside is tightening, guarding, bracing. Over time, suppressed emotions can contribute to: Chronic tension Anxiety and irritability Fatigue and sleep issues High blood pressure Weakened immune system Digestive issues Emotional numbness or shutdown What stays unspoken becomes stored. And what stays stored eventually surfaces — often through the body. Spiritual Truth: God Never Designed Us to...

Finding the Strength to Speak Up

Image
I remember standing outside a beauty store, watching women walk in with determination on their faces. Many were headed in to purchase products to enhance their outer appearance — to look beautiful, polished, and put together. But I wondered: How many of them were like me, falling to pieces inside while trying to cover up the pain? For so long, I did the same thing. I hid my sadness behind makeup, clothes, and a fake smile that said, “I’m good.” On the inside, though, I was breaking. The truth is, in order for us to get the support we need, we often have to get frustrated enough with our situation to finally say something. Silence keeps us stuck, but vulnerability opens the door to healing. It’s not weakness to admit we need help. It’s actually the first act of strength. Scripture reminds us: 📖 “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7 📖 “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18 📖 “Therefore con...

Finding The Rhythm

Image
In this life we experience many seasons — and each season carries its own rhythm. There are moments when everything flows smoothly, and others when it feels like everything is happening all at once. During times of change, it’s natural to feel out of sync. What used to work may no longer fit where you are now, and that’s okay. Sometimes when things are shifting in your life, you can’t keep the same schedule. This is where finding your rhythm comes in. The balancing act isn’t easy, but it’s possible. Realizing what’s a priority and what can wait is vital to establishing a rhythm that will actually work for you in this season. Think about it — a music producer doesn’t add all the instruments at once. That would create chaos, not harmony. Each sound is layered intentionally, timed perfectly, and blended with care. Your life is much the same. You are the composer, and God is your ultimate Conductor. Some things are meant to play constantly — like prayer, gratitude, and faith...
