Matters Of The Heart: True Healing Starts Within

Scripture: Mark 7:20–23 And He said, What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man. For a long time, I believed healing meant fixing what people could see. If I could smile through the pain, keep going, or appear strong, then maybe I was healing. But God has been teaching me something much deeper. Healing starts in the heart. In this Bible verse, Jesus shifts the focus away from outward appearances and points directly to the condition of our hearts. He reminds us that our words, attitudes, and actions don't simply happen—they flow from what has been cultivated within us. That truth challenged me. As I've continued my own healing journey, I've realized that unresolved hurt, fear, rejection, bitterness, pride, and shame don...

Newness Is In The Air…

New hopes. New dreams. New ideas. New thoughts.

Let us not dwell on the people, places, and things no longer in our lives. If we think of them, let it be with appreciation for the time shared and the lessons learned.

Some people were not meant to stay forever. Some things had to end so new things could begin.

And remember: because you have chosen light, darkness has to flee. Light and darkness cannot lead at the same time. The moment light enters, darkness begins to move back.

Keep choosing peace. Keep choosing healing. Keep choosing growth.

Release what is no longer useful. Make room for the new that is waiting to be.

If you do not let go, nothing will change—and you may never reach the place you have been walking toward.

Some things cannot come with you into your next season. Some habits, fears, relationships, and old versions of yourself must be released so growth can happen.

Do it for you.
Do it for your peace.
Do it for your healing.
Do it because you matter.

Do you believe you matter?

Because what you believe shapes your reality.

Think about it—whatever you believe becomes real to you, doesn’t it? If you believe you are unworthy, unseen, or not enough, you may move through life carrying that weight. But when you begin to believe that you matter, that you are valuable, worthy, and created with purpose, everything begins to shift.

Your thoughts shape your choices. Your choices shape your life.

So choose to believe this:
You matter.
Your voice matters.
Your healing matters.
Your purpose matters.

And letting go matters too.

Because what is on the other side of letting go is often much better than what you have been holding onto.

Sometimes we cling to people, habits, mindsets, and situations simply because they are familiar. But familiar does not always mean healthy, purposeful, or meant to stay.

There is peace in release.
There is growth in surrender.
There is freedom in making room for something better.

You cannot fully receive what is ahead if your hands are still full of what no longer belongs in your life.

Let go. Trust God. Move forward.
