Holding It In Makes You Sick: The Hidden Cost

Image
Many of us grow up learning to “be strong,” “push through,” or “keep it together.” But what we rarely talk about is the weight that comes with carrying emotions we never release. Anger. Bitterness. Jealousy. Resentment. Unforgiveness. Hidden hurt. Silent disappointment. These emotions don’t stay neatly tucked away in the heart. The body feels them. The mind reacts to them. And the soul holds them like unspoken stories. The Body Keeps the Score When we bottle up hard emotions, the body shifts into a subtle form of stress response. Even if we smile on the outside, our inside is tightening, guarding, bracing. Over time, suppressed emotions can contribute to: Chronic tension Anxiety and irritability Fatigue and sleep issues High blood pressure Weakened immune system Digestive issues Emotional numbness or shutdown What stays unspoken becomes stored. And what stays stored eventually surfaces — often through the body. Spiritual Truth: God Never Designed Us to...

The 4 P’s: Presence, Power, Purpose, Protection

For anyone who thinks I do the healing work on my own—I don’t.

The truth is, I was inspired to make a project out of myself—probably because I spent so much time trying to fix other people. But I couldn’t even fix myself.

God did. (No Khaled😁)

I sought His Presence (His presence comes with Peace) because I was tired of being let down by people. And when I did… He met me there.

Scripture:

“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.”
— James 4:8 (NKJV)

Affirmation:

I am never alone—God’s presence surrounds and sustains me.
I rest in His nearness and peace.

 He gave me Power.
People say I’m strong, courageous—but honestly?
My flesh is weak and I was spiritually weak..
It is God who strengthens me.

Scripture:

“But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.’”
— 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)

Affirmation:

In my weakness, God’s power is made strong.
I rise each day empowered by His Spirit.

He revealed His Purpose for my life—
Something I always felt deep down… but ran from.
And I realize now, the enemy had access producing those doubts for too long.

Scripture:

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
— Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

Affirmation:

I was created on purpose, for a purpose.
I walk boldly in the calling God placed over my life.

And even now, God continues to offer Protection.
No weapon formed against me shall prosper.
He is my hiding place. My shield. My covering.

Scripture:

“No weapon formed against you shall prosper…”
— Isaiah 54:17 (NKJV)

Affirmation:

I am covered, guarded, and shielded by God.
His protection goes before me and surrounds me always.

I give thanks for all He has done…
For what He is doing now…
And for what will be done in Jesus’ name
