Sometimes Pressing Pause Is Healing

Image
One of the greatest lessons I've learned on this healing journey is that healing isn't always about moving constantly. Sometimes it's about knowing when to stop. I recently had to pause my 365 Days of Healing series because of a critical family emergency. Out of respect for my loved ones and their privacy, I won't be sharing the details. I simply ask for your prayers and understanding during this time. At first, I wanted to push through. I wanted to keep creating, encouraging, and showing up every day. But I realized something important: I cannot pour into others when my own mind, heart, and body need rest. For many of us, especially those who have lived in survival mode, we believe stopping means failing. We feel guilty for resting. We think we have to keep going no matter what. But that's not what healing is about. Healing teaches us to listen to our bodies, honor our emotions, and trust God enough to step away when life demands our attention elsewhere. This pa...

Faith Walk by Michelle Pitt

Have your own faith walk.
Because looking at someone else’s journey
might inspire you for a moment—
but it might also mislead you,
distract you,
even discourage you.

See, their light is not your light.
Their breakthrough is not your blueprint.

And sometimes,
we think a quick prayer or two
will unlock heaven’s floodgates—
but God…
God’s not just watching our lips—
He’s reading our lives.

It’s the way we walk.
The way we talk.
The way we wait when nothing’s moving.

It’s in the quiet moments,
the surrendered spaces,
the condition of our hearts
when no one else is looking.

It’s more than a Sunday song
or a post with a scripture in the caption—
It’s the rhythm of our obedience,
the posture of our trust,
the relationship we build
when we think He’s silent.

Because faith?
Faith ain’t imitation.
Faith is intimacy.
And alignment—
real alignment—
comes when we stop chasing formulas
and start seeking Him.

Not His hand.
His heart.

So don’t borrow someone else’s walk.
Take off the comparison.
Step into your own surrender.
And watch God move—
not just around you,
but within you.

Scriptures:

1. James 2:17 (NIV)
“In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”
→ Faith is more than words—it’s about how we live.

2. 1 Samuel 16:7 (NIV)
“The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
→ God examines the heart, not performance.

3. John 15:5 (NIV)
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”
→ Intimacy with God (relationship + surrender) is what causes fruit (promise, purpose) to flow.

4. Psalm 37:4-5 (NIV)
“Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this.”
→ Alignment and surrender unlock the path to receiving what He’s promised.

Affirmations:

My faith is rooted in relationship, not performance.

I surrender daily, and God meets me with grace and guidance.

I am not moved by what I see—my trust is in God’s promise.

My life reflects the love, truth, and power of the God I serve.
