What You Focus On Matters!!

Not everything that calls for my attention deserves my focus. Because attention is like fuel: What you feed → grows What you ignore → weakens There will always be something trying to pull at your attention. Noise. Thoughts. Pain. Feelings. Responsibilities.  Even good things can become distractions when they take you away from what truly matters. But I’m learning this: peace is protected by focus. When I don’t guard my focus, everything gets access to me. Every thought gets entertained. Every feeling gets a reaction. Every disturbance becomes a direction. And before I know it, I’m pulled away from the very place God was trying to keep me grounded. So now, I choose differently. I guard my focus like something valuable — because it is. I don’t give my attention to everything that calls for it. I don’t sit with thoughts that drain me. I don’t magnify what weakens me. Instead, I return — again and again — to what centers me: God’s Word, peace, purpose, truth. Beca...

As A Man Thinks In His Heart

As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. (Proverbs 23:7

This Word speaks of the transformative power of thought and mindset.
What we believe and focus on can shape our identity and actions.

What we constantly think about becomes our inner reality, and that reality eventually manifests outwardly.

Internal Beliefs:

These are the quiet convictions that run beneath our conscious thoughts. They're shaped by our past, environment, and experiences, but they hold the power to:

  • Define our self-worth

  • Determine our choices

  • Attract or repel opportunities

  • Affect our mental and spiritual health

If someone constantly thinks they’re unworthy, for example, they may subconsciously reject love, success, or peace— if it's available to them, because they have programmed their mind to believe they do not deserve anything good.

Meditation:

Biblical meditation isn’t just emptying the mind—it’s about filling it with truth. It helps to:

  • Renew the mind (Romans 12:2)

  • Rewire negative thought patterns

  • Strengthen faith and clarity

  • Align beliefs with God’s word

Meditating on Scriptures, like Proverbs 23:7, allows you to reshape those internal thoughts that became beliefs but are not in alignment with the Word of God. Repeating truths like “I am loved,” “I have a purpose,” or “God is with me,” creates new mental pathways that change how you live and see the world.

    Scripture:

Ephesians 1:4just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,

2 Corinthians 5:17Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; Old things have  passed away, behold, all things have become new.

Romans 8:16-17The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God. and if children, then heirs--heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ,

     Affirmation:

These can be used for journaling, posting, or prayer:

I am chosen by God and deeply loved.
I am redeemed and made new through Christ.
I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
I am not my past—I am a new creation.
I am strong in my weakness because God’s grace sustains me.
I am God's masterpiece, created with purpose.
I am never alone—He is always with me.
