Reciprocity Matters: Learning to Steward What God Has Given Me

There was a time in my life when I gave freely without much thought about whether that giving was being reciprocated. I showed up for people. I listened. I encouraged. I supported. I poured into friendships and relationships because that was simply who I was. But over time, I began to notice a pattern. I was often the one reaching out. I was often the one checking in. As Mental Health Awareness Month Ends

We have learned that becoming aware is just the beginning, once we are aware we must do something. Awareness means action—choosing daily to heal, grow, and live with intention. Healing is not about hiding. It’s about confronting the very things that make us shrink, question our worth, or delay our purpose. Now is the time to walk boldly in the direction of your desired future, not just with hope, but with action rooted in truth, compassion, and awareness.

As Mental Health Awareness Month ends, the conversation and responsibility doesn't stop here. True awareness calls for intentional action that we must continue practicing. Healing is not about hiding or avoiding the pain—it’s about courageously facing the things that cause us to shrink, delay our dreams, or forget our worth. It requires honesty, compassion, and the willingness to do the inner work. When we acknowledge what’s been holding us back, we begin to walk in the direction of our desired future with intention and clarity. Let this month be the beginning—not the end—of your commitment to healing.
