I share from my own healing journey—these posts are for me first, then if you relate, for you too. I’m simply walking in purpose and sharing what helps me heal and grow, in hopes it may encourage you to. 🌱✨  Cortisol is a hormone your body produces in response to stress. It’s made by your adrenal glands (small glands that sit on top of your kidneys) and plays a big role in how your body manages stress, energy, and balance. Functions of Cortisol Stress response : Often called the "stress hormone," cortisol helps your body deal with challenges by triggering the "fight-or-flight" response. How Are You Coping?

🔄 Healthy Coping Methods Help You:

  • Regulate emotions: Practices like breathing exercises, journaling, and prayer help you manage stress before it escalates.

  • Preserve energy: Setting boundaries and practicing self-care prevents burnout.

  • Stay focused: Reducing mental clutter through mindfulness helps you prioritize and make clearer decisions.

  • Maintain resilience: Positive coping builds emotional strength for when life gets overwhelming.

💡 Result: You’re more equipped to navigate daily challenges with calm, clarity, and confidence.

⚠️ Unhealthy Coping Methods Can:
  • Drain your energy: Avoidance, overworking, or substance use may provide short-term relief but create long-term exhaustion.

  • Escalate stress: Bottling up emotions or overloading your schedule increases anxiety.

  • Disrupt relationships: Poor boundaries or lashing out pushes support systems away.

  • Delay healing: Numbing strategies block growth and prolong cycles of struggle.

💡 Result: You’re more likely to feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected day-to-day

 ðŸŒ¬️ Breathing Through Hard Moments

Learning to breathe through the pain—instead of running from it—is a powerful move towards transformation.

 It builds:

  • Emotional regulation

  • Internal resilience

  • A quiet kind of strength

You’re not alone in this journey. Many of us only discover their true capacity after feeling like they had none at all. That moment of pause—where you choose to breathe instead of react—is where healing begins.
