The Weight Of The BackPack Called Life
*This message was inspired by Pastor Rodrigo Varela of the Soul Winners Group.
Every one of us is walking around with a backpack called life — filled with memories, both good and painful.
We’re all carrying something.
Life is like a backpack we never take off — lessons, and experiences. Some of those things are good: moments of joy, family, accomplishments. But others? They weigh us down: pain, trauma, unforgiveness, bitterness, mistakes.
But here's the truth:
If you don’t remove the trauma, anger, unforgiveness, sin, and everything that weighs you down, you won’t have room for the Holy Spirit.
God doesn’t dwell where darkness remains.
God wants to dwell in you, but He doesn’t share space with darkness.
The Church Is Your Friend
The church isn't here to judge you — it’s here to tell you the truth and guide you to freedom.
Don’t carry your pain in silence.
Lay your burdens at the feet of Jesus.
Church exists to help you grow, not to shame you. A true friend tells you the truth. We’re not meant to carry these burdens forever. Give them to God. Lay them down. That’s where healing begins.
What’s Sneaking Into Your Life?
A lot of young people are learning witchcraft, spells, astrology, tarot, and “manifesting” trends online. It looks harmless — but it’s a trap. It’s opening doors for demonic influence.
Youth today are being misled online
It’s not “just vibes” or “just for fun.”
What seems trendy or harmless is actually dangerous.
That sleep paralysis you laugh about in memes? It's real spiritual warfare.
Be Set Apart
If you’re really about this life — about change, about God — look the part.
We’re calling on every youth to dress with intention.
Let’s build a culture of honor, boldness, and discipline.
Final Word
You can't have freedom if you're still friends with what keeps you bound.
The world may normalize darkness, but we shine light.
Be different.
Be free.
Be filled.
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
Affirmation
I release the weight of my past and give my burdens to God. My life is a dwelling place for the Holy Spirit, and I choose light, freedom, and truth over darkness.
