Survival Me Vs. Healing Me

Recently, I found myself reflecting on some of the names I've been called throughout my life. Guarded. Standoffish. Quiet. Distant. For years, I accepted those labels as personality traits. I assumed that was simply who I was. But healing has a way of revealing things we couldn't see before. As I've learned more about nervous system regulation, trauma, faith, emotional healing, and self-awareness, I've begun to wonder: What if I wasn't being guarded because it was my personality? What if I was surviving? When survival mode becomes your normal, you don't always recognize it. You learn to stay alert. You learn to protect yourself. You learn to keep parts of yourself hidden because somewhere along the way, vulnerability didn't feel safe. Over time, those protective behaviors can become so familiar that they begin to look like identity. But they aren't always the same thing. The truth is, many of us have spent years operating from protection rather than co...

Example Of A Man On Purpose

Imagine being perfect…
without sin, without deceit, without evil.

Imagine healing people, feeding people, loving people, teaching truth, performing miracles, and still being rejected.
Still being mocked.
Still being betrayed.
Still being hated.
Still being sentenced to die.

He did so many good works, yet people still wanted Him dead.

That alone reminds us that doing good does not always mean everyone will understand you, accept you, or appreciate you. Sometimes people reject what convicts them, misunderstand what they cannot control, or fight against what carries truth and light.

Yet through it all, He still chose love. He still chose obedience. He still chose sacrifice.

When life gets too hard to stand, kneel.

The Lord is righteous in all His ways and gracious in all His works. Let heaven and earth praise the Lord.

“I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed. Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill His promises to her.

No matter how difficult life feels right now, do not lose heart. God still sees you. He still has a plan. He still has promises with your name attached to them.

Keep praying. Keep believing. Keep moving forward in faith. 🌿
